Nonye Alugwo Sunkanmi Omobolanle (born 1 March 1981) is a Nigerian actor and director. He is best known for appearing in films such as Gongo Aso (2008) and Eti Keta (2011).
Omobolanle has also featured in several Yoruba films, including Ayomida (2003) as Cousin, Olaide Irawo (2007) and Alakada 2 (2013) as Bayo.

Early life
Omobolanle was born on 1 March 1981 in Oyo State, Nigeria, to actor Sunday Omobolanle and the late Kudirat Omobolanle. He hails from Ilora, a town in Oyo State, southwestern Nigeria.
Sunkanmi loved acting from a young age and wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. However, his father wanted him to join the military. However, his stepmother, veteran actress Peju Ogunmola, convinced his father to let him pursue acting.
Education
Omobolanle attended the Nigerian Military School in Zaria, Kaduna State. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State.
Career
Sunkanmi has appeared in several films. He played Cousin in the 2003 film Ayomida produced by Sola Sobowale Film and Tade Ogidan Film. He appeared in the 2007 Tokunbo Awoga-directed film Olaide Irawo.
Omobolanle directed and starred in the Yoruba drama film titled Gongo Aso in 2008. He played Ajadi in the 2011 film Eti Keta and Bayo in the 2013 film Alakada 2. He has also appeared in Head Gone in 2014, Jail in 2017, and Upside Down in 2018.
Sunkanmi portrayed Delani in the 2019 film Ofeefe, written by Dayo Farore and directed by Bogunmbe Abiola Paul. He played Tolu in the 2020 film Kakanfo, produced by Dayo Davies and David Dida Tella.
He has also featured as Tony in the 2020 film A Dream Called Death (2020) and as Lanre in the 2022 film The Alternative.
Personal Life
Omobolanle married his longtime partner, Abimbola Bakare, in 2011. They welcomed their daughter, Aderinsola, in 2020.
Sadly, his mother, Kudirat Omobolanle, passed away in 2005 after a brief illness.
