Sonia Uche (born 25 May 1995) is a Nigerian actress, producer, casting director, model, and entrepreneur. She rose to prominence for her portrayal of an innocent rural girl in the 2019 film Frank’s Wife.
Uche has also appeared in other movies including War Front, Vanity, My Boss’ Daughter, Accidental Bride, and Chisom and the Law. She has also produced films such as Love in Chaos, Blind Date, Love & Stitches, and The Care Giver.

Early Life
Ihuoma Sonia Uche was born on 25 May 1995 in Delta State, Nigeria. She grew up in Igbuzo, a small town in Oshimili North in Delta State. She has three sisters, namely Chinenye, Ijeoma, and Chinanu Nnebe.
Growing up, she always loved acting and wanted to be an actor. Her mother, Uche Nancy, served as her mentor and guide. She was a member of the church’s drama club and acted in short dramas. She later returned to Abia State for her secondary education and university studies.
Education
Uche attended Anioboshi Demonstration Primary School and St Augustine’s College. She holds a degree in Agricultural Economics from the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Umudike, Abia State. She completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2018, after serving in Abuja.
Career
Uche went for her first audition in Abuja with the production company Mira Entertainment while she was in university.
She took a break from acting while in school, although she featured in a few movies. After university, she returned to acting full-time in 2018. She has appeared in the 2022 films Guarded Heart, A sister’s Tale, and That Woman of Faith.
Uche played Cathy in the 2021 comedy film Boss Baby, Chinelo in the romance film Show Me Love, and Mirabel in the 2020 drama film What Is Mine. She has appeared in other films like Marriage Pressure, Caught Up, and I Voted Now Wetin.
She has shared the screen with legendary actors such as Julie Ibrahim, Patience Ozokwor, Yemi Blaq, and Olu Jacobs.
Aside from acting, she has also produced films like Expired Love, Love Me or Not, The Hurt You Give, Half of Me, Played, Love on Steroids, Room for Loyalty, Heart Impossible, and Once Upon a Vow. She has worked as a producer for Sonia Uche’s TV.
She works as a casting director and actress, with projects like Half of Me, Played, and Room for Loyalty. Uche runs a luxury hair brand, Sonia Hair Extensions. She previously invested in agriculture by raising chickens and owning a fish farm.
