Obi Cubana (born April 12, 1975) is a Nigerian businessman, socialite, entertainer, and philanthropist. He is the founder and CEO of Cubana Group.
The business mogul launched the herbal alcoholic drink Odogwu bitters in 2023. He has business across the country, including Cubana Gustavo in Enugu, Hustle and Bustle in Abuja, and Pablo by Cubana in Lagos.

Early life
Obi Cubana was born Obinna Tochukwu Iyiegbu on April 12, 1975, in Anambra State, Nigeria. He is from the urban town of Oba in Idemili South LGA, Anambra State. His parents were educators. His father, Chief Sir Alex Iyiegbu, was a school principal, and his mother, Mrs Ezinne Uche Iyiegbu, was a headmistress.
Education
Obinna attended Central Primary School in Oba and Dennis Memorial Grammar School in Onitsha. He studied Political Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He completed his service at the National Assembly during the National Youth Service Scheme (NYSC) in 1999.
On November 26, 2022, Obi Cabana was conferred an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).
Career
Obi Cubana began as a real estate agent in Abuja in 2001. He co-founded NOO Garde alongside Nwafor Orizu Onwa. However, the business was short-lived.
He founded Ibiza Club, a nightclub in Abuja in 2006 and a hospitality club, Cubana, in Owerri, Imo State. He is the founder and CEO of the Cubana Group. He has business across the country, including Cubana in Lagos, Cubana in Owerri, and Cubana Abuja.
His extensive business portfolio includes brands such as Grand Cubana Hotels, Hustle and Bustle, and Casa Cubana. He also has renowned entertainment venues, including Cubana Gustavo, Pablo by Cubana, and Opium by Cubana.
He has developed residential and commercial accommodations across Abuja, Lagos, and the Eastern region of Nigeria through Casa Cubana Real Estate Limited.
Obi Cubana launched the luxurious herbal alcoholic drink Odogwu Bitters in 2022. He has also partnered with brands like Sageitude Wines, Laurent-Perrier, and Gold Bar Whiskey. He is also the Chairman of the Enviable Group.
He has also introduced a strategic e-hailing and transport solution through his initiative, Enviable Transport. He has also won many awards, including being named the “Democracy Entrepreneur” of the year at the 2018 Democracy Heroes Award.
He won the Inspiring Personality Award at the 2017 Ghana-Nigeria Achievers Award. He announced his entry into politics in 2026 and called for a new culture of clean, issue-driven political engagements led by Nigerian youths.

Obi Cubana was conferred with the chieftaincy title Ife Igbo Ji Ka Mba by the Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri Traditional Council.
Personal Life
Obi Cubana married lawyer Ebele Iyiegbu on June 14, 2008. The couple celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary in June 2024. They have five children, four biological and one adopted.
