Biola Adebayo: Biography, Age, Mother, Ex-Husband

Biola Adebayo (born 23 December 1981) is an award-winning Nigerian actress, producer, and TV presenter. She is best known for her role in the Yoruba language production Eyin Oka.

The ‘Eyin Oka’ star has appeared in other movies, including Tori oro, Oko Rere, Ran Mi Lowo, Bayeseri, and Atila. She created and hosts the podcast, ‘Talk with B’.

Early Life

Abiola Adebayo was born on 23 December 1981, in Lagos State, Nigeria, into a polygamous family. Her father has seven children, while her mother has four children.

She hawked bread, among other things, and faced years of admission delays before finally gaining admission into the university after about 7 years.

Education

Adebayo studied History and International Relations at Lagos State University and holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Lagos.

She obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Christian Leadership and Business from Moren Christian University in Atlanta, USA.

Career

Adebayo started acting in 2002. She went for auditions at the National Theatre. In 2003, she auditioned for Wale Adenuga’s Super Story production titled ‘For the Love of You’. She featured in the Yoruba films Ojabo Kofo, produced in 2003, and Sikiratu Sindodo.

Adebayo has been a seasoned broadcaster since 2004. She is the creator and host of the acclaimed podcast Talk with B. She hosted the 2nd edition of Bling Awards alongside Woli Agba in an airport-themed “Take a Flight with Us”.

She has had television roles, including presenting on NTA’s Ariya Repete and DBN’s The Identicals, as well as various programs on Silverbird Television (STV). She owns a luxury jewelry and accessories brand, Jewelry By B.

Her works and contributions haven’t gone unnoticed. She received the Best Supporting Actress at the 2021 DIYMA Awards and Face of Nollywood at the 2021 City People Movie Awards.

Controversy

In March 2026, Adebayo faced intense backlash for featuring convicted actor Baba Ijesha on her podcast Talk To B. Critics accused her of providing a platform for him to downplay his sexual offense conviction. She subsequently issued an apology.

Personal Life

Bbiola Adebayo married Oluwaseyi Akinrinde on 7 April 2021. In June 2025, she publicly announced that they had been separated since April 2024 but are committed to co-parenting their son, who was born via surrogacy.

Her mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo, passed away in February 2025.
